How the session with Monika made me feel? I feel deep gratitude towards Monika who had natural curiosity to direct her attention towards me and to look at my life through the lens of astrology.

In our troubled times when the hungry ghosts are all around us, hunting for human attention to convert it to all sorts of commodities, the attention from a true artist and an intellectual with elaborate life experiences talking to me out of curiosity feels especially precious. I feel like our conversation that was born out of the astrological substrate became a part of an imaginary art project that might materialize in the future or would just stay with us as a unique moment in our lives. I had the most extraordinary experience the other day. I got a full EVOLUTIONARY astrological reading from Monika Bravo, an old art world comrade I met back in the mid 1990’s when we kept crossing paths in group shows. Monika is still making and exhibiting art with gusto, and she’s added a practice in this form of astrology to her bag of tricks, too. The reading was so thorough, validating, inspiring, and invigorating — drawing from the usual astrological chart cues but also incorporating past lives/soul stuff and sensitive intuition in connecting it all to the specific mentality and life’s course of an artist in flux/crisis. It was beautiful, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone, particularly other artists.

The reading of my birth chart was surprising: it encompassed many aspects of my (emotional) life both past, present, and future. I felt it gave me a birds-eye view of who I am and where I might want to put my focus. The form of the reading appealed to me specifically too: it felt like a very relaxed conversation in a two-way communication that allowed us to deepen into some areas of my interest. All in all a very tailored experience, that definitely deepened some insights within me.
